Korra’s braids are usually pretty thin, but if you watch an action sequence from the show you’ll see that her hair thickens in combat. Meanwhile, Aang’s bald head and distinctive ears separate his silhouette from those of pretty much every other Nickelodeon character ever created. As protagonists of some of Nick’s biggest shows, they’re natural shoo-ins for a game — especially a fighting game. Still, it’s refreshing to see some confirmation that we’ve got at least one Avatar stage and two Avatar characters. If they weren’t in All-Star Brawl, there’s no way in hell I’d have considered playing it. Now, though… Well, I might start playing Smash again so I can become an esports pro as a Korra main.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favourite series of all time — I watched the whole 61-episode run three times during the pandemic and have an enormous tattoo based on The Tale of Iroh lining the inside of my right bicep. I’m admittedly a little less into The Legend of Korra , but it’s still probably in my top ten TV shows. This is a universe I’ve devoted hundreds of hours to, and I’ll be damned if Nick is bringing out a Smash -esque brawler that forgets about some of the best characters in animation history.
Unlike the characters, the stages weren’t exactly confirmed. In fact, some of the stages appear to be shifting, which could mean that one stage turns into another while fighting on it. That said, there are a few stages that were relatively easy to pick out in the trai
That is until you notice the symbol for The Order of the White Lotus in the background. Check out the picture below and compare it to the scene in the trailer — looks like we’re headed for a scrap in the Impenetrable City, eh?
Hopefully there are more characters, stages, and tracks from Avatar included in the final game. As for now, though, I’m just happy that it seems Avatar is being included to at least some extent. This is my favourite series ever made, and, honestly, I’m relieved to finally see it being represented in a modern video game, even if Aang and Korra are getting into fistfights with the dinosaur from Rugrats.
There’s also a stage set in a junkyard. Most likely, this stage from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is related to Aaahh!!! Real Monsters . In that show, the monsters live in a junkyard, so this would be the perfect setting for them. The other option would be Hey Arnold! , as the look of the stage matches the look of that show. The trailer also shows off a graveyard stage that could be related to the Real Monsters or several other Nick properties like Invader Zim . There’s also a stage set at a carnival that seems to be Glove World from Spongebob Squarepan
The first stage shown off for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl seems to be related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . Though it could also just be a basic stage that’s not related to any property. Each character is shown popping up on a rooftop location. In several shots, the characters are also battling across the stage, which means it will likely be playable. Next, is at least one stage based on Spongebob Squarepants . Early in the trailer, a few characters are fighting on a pirate ship. Later, the characters are fighting through the Jelly Fish Fields. It’s tough to say, but this could be a single stage where the ship pops up in the middle of a battle. Either way, they’re definitely straight from the Spongebob cart
Although there weren’t nearly as many characters as the mammoth roster list of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate , Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has already shown off a respectable amount of characters from all across Nickelodeon’s history. Here are all of the characters that have been confirmed so
From the gameplay that’s been revealed thus far, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl seems to be exactly what the title would indicate. The Smash Bros -esque Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will bring together characters from SpongeBob SquarePants , Invader Zim , and even classics such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . This is likely the first time in recent years that a large studio has attempted to put together a game so similar to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros . ser
The trailer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does give a look at a stage that looks ripped right out of The Wild Thornberrys . In screenshots, it’s also shown that this level can seemingly turn upside down, giving more credence to the idea that these stages will shift. Another shifting stage might be the two stages directly related to Shredder and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . The trailer shows brawls happening in sewers and Shredder’s Technodrome. It would not be surprising to see the Technodrome take over the sewer stage during a fi
For years, the go-to fighting video game was Super Smash Bros. , and this shouldn’t come as a surprise because older Nintendo consoles and titles have been shaping entire generations of players up to this day and age. With the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and smaller games like Brawlhalla , it seems like the genre has still plenty of room for new releases. Such is the case for the new title coming from Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, Nickelodeon All-Star brawl stars beginner guide|https://brawlstarsfans.com/ , a fighting game that was immediately compared to Super Smash Bros. for its style and the way it handles characters coming from different sh
