Speaking of Ubisoft, their long-awaited sci-fi sequel is also taking a break from the E3 stage, after returning from hibernation at E3 2017 and showing a second cinematic trailer the following year. Fans of the title, however, still have a glimpse of Beyond Good and Evil 2 to look forward to this month, as their fifth Space Monkey Report livestream takes place on June 5 at 9 AM PT, with the previous livestream featuring a lengthy pre-alpha demo.

The second tease at the end of Bethesda’s E3 2018 appearance was for the sixth entry in the developer’s mega-popular fantasy franchise. Much like Starfield, nothing has been shown about Elder Scrolls VI since its reveal and Howard also stated during the aforementioned panel that it would not have a presence at E3 this year, since the title is likely due after the release of Starfield.

After an extensive gameplay demo during last year’s Ubisoft E3 briefing, there was a sense of momentum building towards this year’s showing that the multiplayer piracy title would get plenty of new information and footage as it prepared for launch later this year. However, with backward compatibility said to be a guarantee, this might not be the case. For all intents and purposes, Sony could offer a patch for any PS4 game that makes it utilize unique PS5 features. Since Ghost of Tsushima may be launching mere weeks before the PS5, maybe a PS5 disc will simply be the PS4 version with any relevant patches applied. It would certainly make for a good excuse to release a «Game of the Year» edition and label it a PS5 exclus

Overall, Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay was every bit as impressive in great detail as it was shown during Sony’s press conference. One of the things highlighted during the hands-off gameplay presentation was the physics-based engine and the realistic blood patterns. For instance, players will be able to see the exact spot they hit an enemy with their katana. And every individual blood particle has been designed to splatter as realistically as possible.
