In a lengthy essay published to Bethesda.net following Microsoft’s acquisition, Todd Howard mentioned a scant bit of info about the two titles, if only to remind fans that they still exist. Howard’s essay reflected on the legacy of Bethesda and its partnership with Xbox, which allowed it to bring Morrowind to the Xbox console back in 2002. Howard claims that being bought by Microsoft will allow Bethesda to make the most use of the Xbox Series X’s next-gen technology to advance the development of both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 . Most notably, Howard said that the Series X’s new hardware has led to Bethesda’s biggest engine overhaul since Oblivion . To quote the man himself, » These new systems are optimized for the vast worlds we love to create, with generational leaps not just in graphics, but CPU and data streaming as wel
It would’ve been an unprecedented event in the gaming industry if a huge publisher would’ve said that its upcoming title wasn’t worth the wait. In other words, Bethesda’s statement consists of what players want to hear about Starfield , but it delivers zero new information about the game. The reveal, however, should be huge when it finally happens. Considering Bethesda’s tradition of keeping secrets for as long as needed and then showcasing explosive trailers packed with tons of details and gameplay demos, Starfield ’s anticipated reveal will definitely offer a lot to chatter about. When exactly it is going to happen, though, is a complete myst
There’s no doubt in my mind that Bethesda Game Studios will deliver good, if not incredible games with Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI , whenever they actually end up releasing . If they want to keep their status in a genre that’s always looking to raise the bar though, they need to create a world that gives a role-playing experience unlike anything we’ve seen before. They’ve definitely got plenty of time to flesh out tons of old and new ideas…so no pressure ri
Starfield could’ve turned out to be visually stunning, if only the latest leaked screenshot, claimed to be captured in Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG, hadn’t been identified as a scene from an environmental game called Mýrdalssandur, Iceland . Despite that, Starfield money Guide|https://starfieldgalaxy.Com/ is still rumored to be releasing this year, which implies there could be more leaks, both fake and genuine, coming in the near fut
«We talked about [sci-fi] and then it really picked up steam when we registered the trademark about five years ago, and then we would talk about it from time to time, ‘What are we going to do?’ and then we started work right after Fallout 4 was finish
There’s no sign the quoted sources are involved with Starfield , or even Bethesda, but Khan’s evaluation of the pandemic on its own is likely enough to some to quash a recent rumor that Starfield could ship this year. That was itself a misinterpretation by Venture Beat , which claimed it was » probably 90% » sure the game would show at E3 2021 . A statement about it possibly shipping in November was later corrected as speculat
Modders actually created something on PC that sought to make the dialogue system closer to previous entries in the series. By comparison, a title like CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3 kept a more direct dialogue approach and still, players felt more immersed than ever before in a character and world that was already well-established before its third en
Bethesda’s Starfield was the most exciting E3 announcement no one talked about. To be fair, Bethesda delivered a lot of chat-worthy things at its E3 presentation. Fallout 76 made headlines for taking the series in an MMO direction. A new Elder Scrolls game was finally announced. And Keegan-Michael Key even showed up in a hilarious reference to the Skyrim meme. With all of those amazing things, the news that Bethesda is creating an entirely new, next-gen IP sort of slipped under the radar. Well now its time to learn more about Starfie
We also saw some slight political elements thrown into Skyrim that added a lot of character to that land and perhaps with a mechanic like building, they could take that even further with something players have never seen before in a fantasy RPG that’s likely going to be larger than anything we’ve played in the past. Of course, this would be my ideal way of changing things, and I’m no game developer. I can’t say for sure how Bethesda Game Studios would make this mechanic better and more meaningful so that players would enjoy it more, but I think it’s something worthy of attention that would add to the game’s sense of immers
To close out the interview, Howard confirmed that a playable version of Starfield does exist. Bethesda’s people have narrowed down what Starfield «is» and can play it now. This is the reason the team felt confident in announcing the game at E3 even when it’s still so far off. Gamers, however, probably won’t be seeing it for a while. At the very least not until we know what the next generation is, or when it’s com
