Hacker savant Crypto is all about surveillance, and his intelligence-gathering abilities give even Bloodhound’s a run for their money. He can deploy and control an airborne drone to scout and mark enemies, and his ultimate allows it to produce a powerful EMP blast that stuns enemies, damages shields, and destroys traps over an impressively large rad
The Bunker is as simple as it is brilliant: it has a small, flexible arm that you feed your mouse cable through, give a little slack, and then never worry about snagging again. It has a sticky suction cup mount so you can put it anywhere on your desk (mine is slightly behind my monitor), and it has an awesome LED light ring with a dozen different colors to chose from. It also has two USB ports for extra charging, so as far as I’m concerned it’s a win-win-
In our review for Cougar’s gaming accessories , we said that their keyboard, mouse, and headphone combo was the best bang for your buck you’ll ever find for quality gaming peripherals. For under $200, Cougar offers a quality mouse (which I’m still using today) a mechanical keyboard, and an incredible pair of headphones all with fully customizable RGB lig
Right on track, Behavior Interactive has released the teaser for Chapter 14 of Dead by Daylight , titled «Cursed Legacy». Speculation is wild right now about who the next killer will be in the game, while no information has been released on if a survivor will also be coming, and what they might look like. We sat down with game director Mathieu Côté to discuss the future of Dead By Daylight , including challenges of creating the Nintendo Switch and mobile ports, PS5 DLC the future roadmap, and the future of cross-p
Building upon the lore is but one aspect of the new content, as the Archives will also be a great source for new cosmetics, with, «a ton of new customization coming, on top of the store and chapters, we’re really cranking it up in terms of content comi
Caustic’s traps hurt undead Legends just as they hurt Legends. When Mirage uses his decoy, it appears red to Shadow Legends and is therefore effective because it’s hard for these undead beings to tell the difference between Mirage and his decoy. On the other hand, Wattson’s Ultimate is less useful at the top 10 stage because there’s no need to defend against bombardments and grenades. Crypto is also less useful because his skills require him to be stationary but Shadow Legends can easily spot him from a distance even if he is only partially exposed. To learn which Legends are best and worst for the mode, check out TheGamer’s guide to this to
It’s a lot of fun to move quickly, but that doesn’t mean high-speed movement is always the best idea. For instance, increased movement speed also means these characters slide faster, so it’s possible to slide right by a Legend target when attempting to melee them at full sp
From a tactical standpoint, Mirage is effective at causing distractions. If a Mirage can successfully capture the attention of an opposing duo, the Pathfinder can grapple over to the team and get them while they’re not paying attention to him. And, if done especially well, Mirage can then use his decoy escape to push the unwitting team from another direction, resulting in a strong push strat
Because Shadow Legends have extremely low health, it’s important that they never get in front of a Legend’s gun. Even a player with spotty aim can take them down with just a few bullets. A better strategy is to identify where a target is moving and try to attack them from behind, out of their line of si
On the issue of cross play, Côté was clear in the matter, «It’s untrue that there are no plans for cross play, we are looking at it. For us, the one thing that allows us to keep the game alive is a player base, there is a critical mass for the matchmaking to work, purely for that, anything above that is good, and the more we can bring people together through cross play or any other way, the better it’s going to be for everyone’s experience. It’s obviously something we are looking at very close
«Scooby Doo is near and dear to Behavior, we’ve made a few games over the years, so yes, it is something we have brought to the table a couple of times. Unfortunately, the Scooby Doo franchise is one that they absolutely now want to keep kid friendly forever. There have been a few exceptions, on Supernatural the TV show and the Scooby Apocalypse comic series, and maybe there was a time they were more open to that kind of thing, but no, there is no chance right now. But that sort of thing, yes, we are constantly looking at what else we can do. The Scooby Doo thing was obviously one of the first things we looked
In translating the core gameplay to new platforms, Côté describes some of the considerations needed both for the Switch and upcoming mobile version of the game. For Nintendo, «the biggest thing with the Switch is obviously that visually it had to be accommodated and optimized a little bit compared to what we have on high end PCs…However, playing it in handheld, I think there is something kinetic about it, literally you’re so crunched into it, to me it’s a very different experience, I like that. I try to play at least a few games per day, especially on a new platform so I know what the hell I’m talking abo
